Abstract

This paper presents a web-based environment that was designed and implemented in order to support the office automation courses of the Journalism & Mass Communication Department, at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Special issues relating to these courses as taught in the traditional way, together with the given computer and communications infrastructure, pose various design specifications; so they are reported in detail, along with the way they affect the various design aspects. The main sections of the environment are described, in addition to their functional integration to the teaching and learning process. Finally a formative evaluation is presented along with useful conclusions.

Περίληψη

Η εργασία αυτή παρουσιάζει ένα περιβάλλον με βάση τον παγκόσμιο ιστό που σχεδιάστηκε και υλοποιήθηκε για την υποστήριξη των μαθημάτων αυτοματισμού γραφείου του Τμήματος Δημοσιογραφίας & Μέσων Μαζικής Επικοινωνίας του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης. Ειδικά θέματα τα οποία σχετίζονται με τα μαθήματα αυτά όπως διδάσκονται με τον παραδοσιακό τρόπο, σε συνδυασμό με την υπάρχουσα υποδομή σε υπολογιστές και επικοινωνίες, θέτουν διάφορες προδιαγραφές στη σχεδίαση, και για αυτό αναφέρονται με λεπτομέρειες, καθώς και ο τρόπος που επιδρούν στις διάφορες παραμέτρους σχεδίασης. Περιγράφονται οι κύριες περιοχές του περιβάλλοντος, σε συνδυασμό με την λειτουργική τους ολοκλήρωση στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία. Τέλος παρουσιάζεται μία αξιολόγηση του περιβάλλοντος μαζί με χρήσιμα συμπεράσματα.
